Asharqia Chamber: Fisheries in the Kingdom Need a Strategic Plan for the Improvement and Development of the Sector
A specialized study called for setting up a long-term strategic plan to develop and improve the fish sector in the Kingdom. The elements such plan are public and private sector and fishermen.
The study suggests that the plan should take into account the balance between increasing production and preservation of environment, in addition to improving coordination between relevant authorities to reduce the damage of environmental pollution, and create nurseries especially for the production of mangrove seedlings and benefit from the experience of Sultanate of Oman by adopting the idea of establishing coral industrial
